Seguin Services
Our team is responsible for the renovation of the 45,000 square foot Carr Center in Cicero. This building is used as a hub of activity for Seguin’s nearly 500 daily participants living in the Chicago region. Spaces within the building include office space for staff members, multiple classrooms and group activity spaces, lunchrooms and break rooms, numerous ADA compliant restrooms. All spaces meet applicable local codes and the Illinois Accessibility Code. We worked with our client in managing paperwork for funding through CDBG, Department of Human Services and various foundations.
Project Data
Additional work for this client includes designing and building a dynamic new entry space (shown above) to welcome Seguin’s special needs participants, team members and guests. The 1,000 s.f. vestibule is a 1-story angular structure situated at the crux of 2 multi-story buildings. A new drive aisle and drop off area were designed/built as well.
Our firm designed and constructed a 5,800 sf retail sales space for Seguin Gardens and Gifts. Within the building is a horticultural therapy room and growing greenhouse. We have also assisted Seguin with group homes, various office and day center build outs and work on Mooney's Garage
